Montreal Red Phoenix finished with a perfect 6-0 record to take home top honors and the inaugural 2005 Ultimate Road Trip Cup back to their homeland of Canada.

Throughout four sun-soaked days in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands, the Red Phoenix showed why they are consistently rated one of the top club teams in Canada.
Displaying a dominant offensive system, top conditioning, and seamless unity the experienced squad from Montreal proved to be too much for the five other international teams.
Preliminaries:
The tournament kicked off Thursday night with a welcoming social held at Beaches resort that was attended by all. The staff at Beaches put together a nice assortment of hot and cold appetizer plates while players had a chance to stretch their plane legs, mingle with their competitors, and suck back their first taste of island rum punch.
The event was officially "opened" by the tournament welcoming committee who urged all the participants to set an incredible precedent in the first year of the tournament through comradery, competition, and sportsmanship!
Round Robin Play:
Each team was required to play four qualifying games to determine the playoff seedings for Sunday's final matches. Each team never played more than two games in any given day yet the physical style and high caliber of play displayed throughout the tournament made the round robin an exercise in conditioning.
